Evening Rain

Tigard, OR
A shower in the morning
Will clean the streets and walkways.
A shower in the gleaming,
will follow warm lightning always.
But a shower in the night,
will break your compass of direction
It changes your world,
Freezes your garden,
And takes away protection.
It puts out the lights in the sky,
Blankets blind the moon and stars.
The only peaceful place to be,
is in the prison of your home or car.
The garden is lost,
in this endless bog of lightless gloom.
This evening rain took my picture of flowers.
And turned it into a picture of doom.

The Lion King

Location: Mt. Hood Timblerlind, OR
I took this picture after finishing a film shoot at a ski resort. I darkened the edges of the picture to make the center more of the pinpoint of the picture.

Draw Me

Location: Tigard, OR
This was an assignment for Digital Photography. I traced over a picture with a brush and then used a smudge brush afterwords to blend it all together.

Pride on Four Wheels

Location: Davenport, WA
I took this picture of my brother while four wheeling. I adjusted the color of the sky to match his shirt and the color of the four wheeler to tie the whole picture together.

Trippy Trail Ride

Location: Davenport, WA
I took this picture while going on a trail ride. I adjusted the colors and made it look really saturated to make the sky look unrealistic.

Power Flowers

Location: Tigard, OR
I took this photo while going on a bike ride. I adjusted the tint to make the sky look a lot pinker since the picture was a field of pink flowers.

Over the log and into a bog

Location: Corvallis, OR
I took this picture at a 3-day-Event at Inavale Farm. After editing it I turned it into one of my favorite pics. Before I edited it the horse was really dark and the sky was pretty bright, but then I adjusted the highlights and the shadows to make it look more gloomy.

Hide-n-Seek in the Morning

Location: Davenport, WA
I took this picture in the early morning when the sun was poking through the cracks of this old barn. When editing this picture I made the colors more warm to make it seem more like morning.

As Far as the Eye Can See

Location: Chewela, WA
This is a picture I took out in my aunts horse pasture. I used the macro setting on my camera to focus on an up close of the horses eye and then staged for the little boy and the other horse to be standing in the background. When editing this photo I pumped up the color and contrast to make everything pop a little bit more.

Fence Line

Location: Davenport, WA
I took this picture on a trail ride I went on. I used the macro setting on my camera to get a better focus of the barbed wire fence.

Sunset Peacock

Location: Davenport, Washington
I took this picture during sunset so that the lighting on the bird made it's colors a little more pink and saturated.

The Sky is the Limit

Location: Mt. Hood Timberline, OR
I took this picture at a filming shoot for the "Can't Stop" ski movie. Before the sun sort of bleeched out the photo so I darkened the shadowing and highlights in the photo to make the skier stand out more.

Horse Heaven

Location: Davenport, WA
This is a picture of my horse out on pasture. I like this picture because it has the cool old barns in the background and even though there is a horse in the picture the main focus seems to be on the view of the canyon and beyond.

Rain and Shine

Location: Sherwood, OR
I took this picture after a long summer shower. I adjusted the lighting to make some of the clouds look a lot darker than the others.

Nap Time

Location: Davenport, WA
I took this picture in my aunts barn. I used a technique we learned at the begining of the semester on how things lead your eye to the focus of the picture. I used the cats paw/arm to lead up to its face.

Flowers Gone Wild

Location: Davenport, WA
I took this picture last summer in June. This field is an old wheat field that was put on rest and lots of wild flowers grew in it. I adjusted the colors to make the little purple flowers more visible.

Butterfly

Location: Chewela, WA
I took this photo when everyone was setting up for a wedding. I made the picture a lot brighter to make the white table cloths pop out more.

Sunset Farms

Location: Davenport, WA
I took this picture as the sun was going down behind the hills. I cropped out extra sky space that wasn't needed and pumped up the saturation and added more tint to make it more orange. If I could change anything next time I would take a panoramic photo.

The Three Best Friends

Location: Chewela, WA
I took this photo in my aunts horse pasture. It was one of those kodak moments that you just have to get. I cropped the photo down to put the focus onto the two horses and the little boy.

Hum-a-Tune-of-Color

Location: Chewela, WA
This picture was taken at a wedding. The humming bird was so still that i was able to get close enough to take a picture with the macro setting on my camera. I edited it by making it super saturated to make the color stand out.

Wheat Rays

Location: Davenport, WA
I took this picture on my aunt and uncles wheat farm. I liked it because of how the rays came down from the sky. I edited it by changing the brightness of the shadows and the highlights then upped the contrast (this was how I got the sun rays to stand out).
